“The creative approach to recovery from this injury drew me in closer to my inner source of healing where I became aware of a deeper connection to life all around me and of an alignment of Body, Mind and Spirit.” As a young girl Pauline was influenced by Native culture which inspired her own love and respect for nature, life and creativity. When she was young she wrote a school play about the magical healing power that lived in the woods.
Pauline believes her artistic expression is an inherent trait and remembers painting along side of her father. Her nephew John who is also a painter inspired and encouraged her though she admits, she is a self taught Artist who takes lessons by being attentive in her day to day life. Pauline left her pharmaceutical job at Ministry of Health to travel around Australia. It’s here that Pauline really began an inner journey and in her return to her home town that her ‘love’ Philosophy finds its destination and expression through her Art. Pauline is one of the few Artists in her area who paints in oil on canvas. Her subject is symbolic of her sentiment and easily recognized in her attention to detail. Recently, Johannes Linstead caught Pauline’s eye and became the inspiration of one of her paintings.
“Music awakens the dance and song in me Her scenery and landscapes reflect her great affection for Ontario and her own extensively traveled country, Canada.
“I am grateful for my Spirit guides who know the shape of the rocks I paint as they reminisce along paths I have not traveled.” In her own Action for Habitat Pauline recently painted the Blanding Turtle who is 1 of 6 turtles in Ontario listed as an endangered species. (insert the blanding turtle photo) “Smile in Shinning Waters” “Beauty is within: sometimes it’s hidden beneath a hideous disguise. If I paint it with love maybe others will notice it and love it too. This is what I feel is the intention of my Spirit and what is behind my desire to paint.”
“The Red shouldered Hawk at the helm above the trees and hills she flew. What a vision as I awakened from my dream to see the reality of who I am … is but an illusion. “
“The Spirit of the wolf, of the moose and wild horses, even our very own Spirit seeks the forest and the ripples of the stream, to laugh, play and bubble up to the surface, to feel the rush of life again.”
